POST LASER CARE
· CLEANSE -Gently clean the treated area twice a day.· MOISTURIZE- Use a fragrance-free moisturizer to maintain hydration and prevent pigmentary changes.· PROTECT FROM SUN-Apply sunscreen two to three times a day. Follow two to three finger rules for face and neck. Repeat after 2-3 hours. You can also wear protective clothing like scarf or even umbrella.· AVOID IRRITANTS- Avoid irritants like glycolic and retinoids for at least a week. Avoid strongly scented beauty products and makeup for the first two days.· AVOID PICKING-Don’t pick at the treated area, as this can lead to Irritation, Inflammation, Infection and PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation)· WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING-Wear loose clothing for at least a week to avoid irritation.· AVOID HEAT-Avoid hot baths, Saunas and steam rooms for the first few days.· AVOID EXERCISE- Avoid vigorous activity for at least a week. Vigorous activity can flush your skin and create discomfort. When you exercise you are likely to sweat which can also irritate the skin. If you want to get some movement at the gym opt for a walk or stretching.· DON’T SMOKE- Smoking is a common underlying cause of skin damage. The harmful substances in cigarette smoke may derail the healing process and further irritate your skin. If you are a smoker, wait for at least two weeks to smoke again.
